Need help
i have a 2000 chevy extend cab s10 with a 4.3 and i have a hesitation problem when i am accl and crusing i have no dtc or mill light and i just put a new dist in it becuase i couldnt get the timeing to advance more then -12degs retarted so i put the the dist in and could only get it to advance to -6degs and then my teacher reamed out the dist hold down bolt hole and got it to go to 0 but i am confused on why this is and i still have a hesitation and now i am stuck when i put the dist in the hesitation did go away a little all my pids seem to look good any help will be great iv been chasing my tail with this my truck is also a 5 speed manual with 4 wheele drive

Is this an auto shop teacher? Because if it is you need a new teacher.
The timing is not adjustable on these motors, except by reprogramming the PCM. Sounds like one of your sensors is out of whack. Try testing the TPS, the MAP and the MAF. You would get a better response to your problem by posting in the 4.3 engine section. Welcome to the forum! ![]() |

O sorry yea im new to the sight and my auto tech teacher is a gm master teck cause im in school at uti and ill try to post this in the 4.3 section thanks for the help
