94 4.3 -> 180,600+ on it... Runs like s champ. Not in bad shape for almost 10 yr old and being a truck driven in Western (Buffalo) and Central (Syracuse) NY.

had an 88 with just about 500,000 on the clock when i got rid of it. had the 2.5 motor and the clutch replaced once. it managed to rack up those miles in only three years as an escort vehicle for over size loads(one of my past jobs). and also had been laid on its side once during those 3 years.(black ice)

85 with 242,000, was another escort truck, had a bad cam knock but ran till some bitch had a head on with it while it was parked behind my house.

my present... a 2001 with 28,000+ on her.

'97 with 141,xxx miles. which reminds me of something i've been wondering/worrying about --

how long do you think this puppy will last? it's a 4.3 v6

i change the oil religiously, the fuel filter, keep the k&n air filter clean, keep spark plugs good, occassionally throw some fuel injector cleaner in there, and i try to keep the other fluids up to date (coolant, tranny). any of ya'll foresee how long before this baby starts fcking up and me replacing one part after the other?

Dad's 96 2.2 is at 180,xxx with few probs, original clutch, 2nd set of brakes and regualr oil changes... tranny is the only prob.

My 88 has 138,xxx and has been well taken care of...
