I've got about 199,960 or so. Original engine and transmission since i've had it. I've replaced the starter and alternator but it's been good. It just started smoking a little but i suspect it's just valve stem seals.

My friend's '94 has like 124k I believe. We were just talking about this, cause I'm almost to 250k, and I told him about it, and he said his was about half mine at 124k.

See my sig. Mine has 297,000 right now, almost at the 300,000 mark. Doesn't use oil, still gets around 22 mph. Never did anything major to the truck except replace a ball joint, replaced clutch, and maintenance stuff like belt, hoses, etc. Even the starter and alternator have never been replaced.

My dad is an engine builder, and we both have restored quite a few classics. He has build engines since the 60's, so that should give you an idea of his experience and exposure to all kinds of vehicles. And we have both been diehard Ford fans all our life, we love the Fairlanes and restored several. But he has said repeatedly to me over the last few years, "You'll never convince me that there was ever a better engine built than these 4.3L's."

After getting my alternator fixed, I finally drove my truck again. I hit 250k miles on it!

I think that's pretty good (that it has lasted this long) since it's a 1995 Chevy S-10 LS, 2.2 Liter, 4 cyl, Automatic.
