Has anyone used these "ebay" items?

a friend on mine said he had an a MPG raise but i'm not sure he knows what he's talking about 1/2 the time

haha, you can probably make out the resistor code from that pic on the "chip" lol. Pack of resistors from RadioShack (assuming they still carry that stuff) should cost way less than 4 bucks...
