99 s10 2.2 vortec coil location?

from what i have read coils are difficult to get to. i see plugs on drivers side engine with wires running under black box on top of engine(what is this?) to passenger side with coils not visible. are they under this black box? or mounted on passenger side of engine. dont wanna start unless i know i can finish. thanks for any help. kdet my haynes manual really does no justice to a coil change how to.

they are on passenger side of block below intake . you can see them through wheel well , lift up rubber flap and they are right there
