94 s10 body molding question
I had took my molding off of my s10 when I bought the truck and didnt know the truck had been repainted by the previous owner and they just taped the molding off so the paint behind the molding is terrible. I am just going to buy new molding but was wondering if the molding lmc truck sells have the s10 on the door molding like the original. So my main question is does the replacement molding from LMC have the s10 on the door part of the molding if not or if you know a place cheaper to buy it let me know. Thanks in advance.

Re: 94 s10 body molding question
I've looked into this as well. LMC is where I was checking out too. My '94 is the same color, and it appears the previous owner had it repainted and just had the molding taped off. I didn't take the molding off, but it is looking rough these days. All of the "chrome" stuff has peeled off, but I know it will look bad if I take the molding off.

Re: 94 s10 body molding question
Unfortunately it is the same on my 94. the chrome has all started to peel off or look like crap. If someone finds a good deal or a good place to get this stuff please post it here. I would love to change it all out again.

Re: 94 s10 body molding question
I scored around all the chrome parts on my last Blazer with a razorblade and lifted all the clear and chrome off of them.
Lightly scuffed with a red scotchbrite pad and painted the gray areas black with duplicolor trim paint. 5 years later my brother owns the truck and they still look great. Hard to see through the mud but you get the idea. ![]() |
