94-97 S-10 to newer Bravada front end

I started buying all the parts to do a 98+ s-10 front end and then realized I like the 98?+ Bravada. Now I want to do the Xtreme kit on the truck. With that being said on to my question....

Can I do the Bravada headlights and grille with the Xtreme bumper. I already have the core support for the 98+ S-10/Sonoma, I'm assuming that is the same on the bravada as well. Thanks in advance.

You can do it, but you would have that gap under your headlights and above the bumper.

yeh same rad support but i think since the bravada grille droops down like the gmc's it'll interfere with the bumper of the s10 but i could be wrong

Are you saying this cause you've seen it done? or are you assuimng this conclusion? If there is a gap after installing it is then possible that I can mold the bottom lip of the chevy grille shell to the olds grille shell right?? I'm thinking there will be no gap due to the fact the the GMC/Olds headlight assembly from top to bottom is actually slightly bigger than the chevy headlight and turn signal section from top to bottom....make sense?

I do not see why you shouldn't be able to take the bottom lip off the s10 grill and mold it to the olds grill.

I saw this on my GMC when i swaped the front end to an S10.

But i just googled for an image of the bravada, and it looks like if you do go with the bravada grill you do not need to worry about the gap.

then again... maybe

Were you planning on using the bravada bumper cover as well or the stock bumper on yours?

Anyone out there who has done a bradava swap got a pick of just the parts?

There's no getting around it, you have to use the Bravada bumper cover or else you'll have a gap under the headlights and grille using the Chevy bumper coverless set up. I think even the GMC grille hangs lower than the Bravadas, so even if you had a GMC bumper cover you'd still have a gap under the grille, but not the headlights.

The Bravada bumper cover would probably look pretty good if you have the Xtreme fender flares. You might have to do a little trimming to them, but don't take my word for it until you check for yourself.

You can extend the grille, but it will probably look ghetto and won't fix the gap under the headlights. On the 94-97 you can get away with it as the bumper cover runs all the way to the fender, but 98+ it stops at the headlights.

ok well that narrows it down to either doing the bravada grille and molding the bottom of the s-10 grille to it or just doing the whole s-10 front end....depending on availabilty on parts at my friends junk yard. I think I'd like to go with the "bravada xtreme" i'm just not very good with body work...lol. If there's anyone out there who has attempted this swap please either post pics of it of let me know how it went for you.

pretty simple had to lower the bumper a inch maybe and then the little tabs on the back of the grill lad to be lowered. because this bumper sits up higher

pretty easy

but this is a 2003 s10 with a 94-97 bravada bumper

That's cool and good to know but that not exactly what I'm looking for. Actually it's exactly opposite...(sorry for sounding like a dick but I couldn't put it any other way)...lol

actually I think you would have to buy a GMC hood as well as the bumper and headlights cause I'm trying to do that to my 98 s10 I have a grill but other things have prevented me from buying the rest and maybe if you are good at autobody stuff you might be able to mount an Extreme front facia I guess I'm not the only one who has had this idea! lol
