ZR5 Nerfs on a 4 Door

Found a pretty good deal on a clean set of nerf bars. They are off of an '04 ZR5 Crew Cab. I have a '99 4 Door 4x4.

Not really 100% sure if they'll bolt up without a lot of mods, or if I'll need to make brackets, etc.

Anyone done this / tried this / have ideas?
They're a ways away from where I live, figured I'd ask here before I drove all the way out to look at them,

Thanks

Re: ZR5 Nerfs on a 4 Door

If you're in Michigan, I have a set of 4 door nerf bars for sale I had on my 98 Jimmy for about 6 months. I think the crew cab nerf bars might be longer since the rear doors are a bit longer than those on a Blazer plus the little bit of bed before the rear wheel.

Are your nerf bars black, chrome or SS?

The crew cab bars are indeed longer, by about 6 inches.
And I'm not exactly in driving distance from Michigan, or I'd take you up on those bars.

Just FYI I measured the bars last night and they are 62.5" long.

Re: ZR5 Nerfs on a 4 Door

Just for my own personal knowledge, where at do they bolt to? Frame? Panel?

Haven't seen any for a 4 door yet, so I'm curious.

My set bolts to the rear leaf spring bolt in back and then you have self drilling bolts that drill into a body brace in the front. They're useless if you have a body lift.

Re: ZR5 Nerfs on a 4 Door

Why are they useless if you have a body lift? I had a set of nerf bars on my '96 2 door Jimmy and it had a 2" body lift. Kinda covered up the frame a bit.

And how much do you want for them?

They're useless because of they way they mount. They mount to the leaf spring on the back and the body on the front. If you have a body lift they're too short to mount down where they should so you'd need to get a piece of metal to extend the front mount down. I'm asking $50 for them.

Ah. The ones I had for my '96 mounted to the frame on the front.
