Window adjustment? Doesn't go into channel

The drivers side window on my 03 4 door Blazer won''t always go into the channel when I try to close it if I am on the highway with a cross wind. Is there any way to adjust this? One mechanic I talked to said there isn''t any adjustment for this. Or is he wrong?

If there is no adjustment I was thinking of just getting some in-channel Ventvisors. I''m thinking that would force the window into the channel. Anyone with them that can confirm this would work? If I go this route I just want to get a set of 2 for the front doors only. Can anyone tell me if the doors are the same size from the 2 door to 4 door so I can just order a set for a 2 door?

Thanks.....BB

Idk about an adjustment but a 2 door ventvisor kit will fit on the 4 door. s10, 2dr blazer, and front doors on a 4dr blazer are all the same.

Thanks, I'll probably just order a set and if they work, great. If not I'll probably talk to a bodyman about adjustment. There has to be SOME way to fix the problem.

The mechanic is right, there is no adjustment. Something is worn out. It could be the rollers or the channels they run in, or it could be the rubber window weatherstrip on the door.

Thanks guys, I just tried rolling it most of the way up and wiggling it and see how much play there is and it didn't seem to be a whole lot, about the same as the passenger side. I can see though that it is coming up angled out a bit and when you add some wind pulling on it it's just enough to make it not line up. We have a bunch of them here at work, I'll have to check a few others and see how they feel.

Re: Window adjustment? Doesn't go into channel

its probley the channel that the window sits on... the part that connects it to the scissors.. if it is no lubed or has a rough spot in it then the window wont roll up straight.. or the scissors arent in sync and one is going up higher then the other... just a few things to look at if everything else apears ok
