White Face Gauges
Hey all, I just got some white face gauges and installed them today. a few questions for anyone who has installed a set. 1 did you just lay them over top the stock gauges? 2 what would be the best was to get the needles back to there set postion. this is the set I baught.

Re: White Face Gauges
Yes, just lay them over your stock gauges. Get the dash taken apart, and everything wired up so that your last thing to do is pull the needles and put on the gauge face. Then crank up your truck and let it get up to normal temperature. This should be 190* or whatever t-stat you have. Once its warmed up, write down where all you needles are. The volts should be around 14, temp around 190*, etc. Shut the truck off, pull the needles, lay on your gauge face, crank the truck back up, and replace your needles in the same position you removed them. To remove the needles they simply pull off. Don't push them down too far when replacing them, because they will get stuck on the gauge face and make jumping motions.

Seems a little jank 'guestimating' where the needles should be. Is that the only way?

Re: White Face Gauges
the ones i got i peeled the old face off and stuck the new one on...was real easy....and yeah,,,,pretty much just make note of where your needles are while the trucks running and basically put them in same spot...dont push them on too far like was mentioned cause they will stick and you will be pulling your dash out again to fix it....trust me, i had to and it was just the mph needle that stuck and was jumpy, really frustrating cause i had to do it twice...when it was warm with the lights on at nite it would expand or something and stick agian.......good luck..def worth the upgrade

Re: White Face Gauges
These lights look really slick on ebay. I had some in my 95 blazer and had a little knob that could change the color from blue to greenish. But I like the way on these where the circles light up in solid color.
