which 4x4 wheel bearings/hubs?

I have a 2000 4x4 gmc jimmy. The wheel bearings are going to shit, humming like a bastard. I know you have to replace the whole unit. I heard the cheap ones don't last. Who has had good luck with what brand or type? I don't want to do them again in a year. Thanks fellas.

I bought a cheap on off ebay over a year ago and mine are just fine still. I paid $85, but the 2wd's cost more. It looks like good quality too. All I can remember is that the box was red and black.

Don't you mean the 4x4's cost more?

nope. The 2wd 98+ Blazers use a hub assembly like the 4wd's, but since it is only for 98+ Blazers and not all S-10 models like yours(all S-10 4wd's, as far as I know they're all the same that have ABS that is.) they make less of them and they cost more.

Heres one for ya! Can somebody tell me the difference between these two items? Besides the $100 price difference?

Well the hole they go into is slightly smaller on the 2wd's and the 2wds don't have the hole for the axles to go through.

over a year...

as long as you get one that has a good brand of bearing you should be ok...

Timken, FAG, SKF...

however if they are offering lifetime warranty, who cares... it takes under an hour to change it yourself... so if it does go, all you lose is an hour of your time...
