Where's the squeak coming from?

Hey guys,
I have a 2000 gmc jimmy SLE, and i am having some squeaking coming from the rear of the truck. The squeak occurs when im not pressing the brakes and when i do. It is more like a chirping noise and squeaks about revolution of the wheel. I am wondering if it may be a caliper hanging up of if it is rearend noise. I have no clue so any help will be awesome. Thanks
Shane

I have the same problem coming fromt the rear. I hear it more when I go over small bumps. Just an annoying chirping noise.

Re: Where's the squeak coming from?

Ya I hear it a lot more from the passenger side rear. Not so much really when i hit bumps but its really noticable at low speeds and backing up. if i role the windows up then it goes away but when they are down it can be heard form like 0-15 mph.

Re: Where's the squeak coming from?

Hey guys,
I tore into the truck yesterday and found that the squeak was coming from the brake pad fibers. because the ceramic pads are new they were making that chirping noise. i took it to a local shop just to make sure and they said it should go away with time.
