where is my fuel pump in my jimmy envoy?
ok, i let my "friend" work on my truck. it stopped working on day for no reason. it was working fine before that. he sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it didn't start. we checked the pressure valve? by the back of the engine and he said it had pressure. i replace the ignition control module, distruber cap and rotor. nothing. i tried the starter fluid by myself and it tried to start. thus im not getting fuel. i wasted a bunch of money.
anyway, is the fuel pump inside my tank or external? the reason i ask this is because there are lines that go to the drivers side back of the truck and say fuel all over them. so im figuring that my fuel pump could be there. the lines go inside a close box. i also checked my fuses and they are good so where is that fuel pump on a jimmy envoy? gregory a. |

Re: where is my fuel pump in my jimmy envoy?
tips: when you take out the tank, make sure the top of it is clean so that you dont get any dirt inside of it. run most of the gas out of it so it's easier to remove from the truck. mine was tricky getting the pump back in, its held in by a snap ring. you'll see how it works when you get to there, its pretty simple.
my pump was working just fine and i replaced mine to get the gas gauge working since that is a common thing for that part of it to go out. your gauge wont get messed up as long as you dont break the float off, which is pretty strong so dont worry about it. |

Take note: there are 2 different fuel pumps. One for the 2dr and one for the 4dr. You need to buy the correct one because they are different.
