-ok- lets see- how many mles on it would be good-stay below 80,000-that should give you a few good years-expect the exhaust to go soon if it has not,the battery likely already did,a/c repairs will soon be needed, brakes go on anything, ball joints-get lifetime guarantee on your first replacement set as you will need that, watch the trans-check fluid color for pink-if not get it checked at a trans shop (usually free) and check for codes set-oh yes, since 95 gm blazer needs obdII system to read codes so no more $30 code readers-more like $300-and get a warranty-watch the fine print or you will not get good coverage and pay a big deductible, and watch what oil changes etc you will need or they cancel your warranty first claim you make-you won't get paid-I'm going down most of the roads above in our 96 blazer that we bought 2 years ago-good luck

actually I'm a girl...The mechanic at the chevy dealer in town actually talked me out of buying a Jimmy or Blazer and several different dealerships I went to told me not to waste my money on them to go buy something better...i happened to find the explorer and got the ford dealership to lower the price $1,000 and give me more for my car on trade in so I couldnt pass it up...and it came stock with more options than any jimmy or blazer i looked at...

You know why they lowered the price and gave you more for your trade don't you? Because the Exploder is made out of cheap ass parts, so you get it at a hella discount. You always get what you pay for...

You bought an Explorer over a Jimmy? Then you messed up big time. Those mechanics were probally "Ford guys", so of course they'll talk down the Jimmy. And we all already know that the salespeople at dealers don't know anything about vehicles, all they know is how to bullslt a sale. But in all reality, the Explorer is a worse choice. Do a little research and you see how bad the Explorers history is.

I have no regrets on buying my X....I'm actually rather happy I didn''t buy a blazer or Jimmy....I have rather bad luck with GM products anyways I seem to buy them and they break on me like a month later...Right now its just a truck that gets me from point A to point B...I'm savin up for my Caddi so it doesnt really matter what i drive....and seriously this Ford Vs. Chevy stuff is so retarded...

It's not Chevy vs. Ford stuff. My post above is from experience with both types of vehicles as well as others experiences.

I drove the blazers and jimmys and didnt like how they rode plus to me they were really small and cramped inside....plus I havent had good luck with any chevy in the past...my entire family drives fords with the exception of my dad now and we havent had any problems with them at all....
