Wheels Alignment Necessary Or Not ?
I am a French proud owner of a 2000 Blazer 4x4 /4 doors and I need the advice of the specialists of the "Blazerland"
![]() I have taken the opportunity of the special sales of Bilstein (4 shocks for the price of 3) to import these very good shocks . My alignment has been made 3 months ago . Will it be necessary to do a new alignment after the shocks change . Thanks in advance for your help and congratulations for that marvellous forum which is of a great help for those who are far from the mother land of the Blazer . ![]() |

Re: Wheels Alignment Necessary Or Not ?
If you are just changing out the shocks then you shouldn't need to get it re-aligned. Shocks are easy to install and don't require you to take any of the suspension apart (ball joints or tie rods). From what I have always noticed on my truck, things get out of wack after popping ball joints off and removing control arms, even if I put them all back on the same way.
