What's the biggest wheels that will fit on a stock Blazer?

Hello everyone! Working on some things for my project Blazer and I was wondering what the biggest wheel size that would fit on a stock 98 Blazer with no lifting, lowering, fender rolling or anything other modification to suspension.

Got a couple of ideas I'm pondering and just need some info

I don't see how anything bigger than 24s will fit

the wheel size dont matter

its the overall diameter of the tire that is your issue..

on my blazer with no lift i had a 30 inch tall tire and it did not rub...now a 31 inch may be pushing it

so what ever size rim you go with just work off that overall tire size

so if you get 24's with a tire that is equal to or less then 30" you will be fine

Id stick with 22s. and then ull have alot more tire options..

Nah, you're fine! I figured there would be a lot of people criticizing me for my choices before I ever asked the question and I was fine with that

I've been looking and since my Blazer is a 4x4, everywhere I can find recommends 8 inch wheels for a 4x4. Would it look silly/make the tires scrub if I put 10 inch wide wheels on it?

Nevermind, I did the calculations on the wheel width/offset going from 8 inches to 10 inches and I know it would look dumb/cause problems!

Oh, you didn't say it was a 4wd. Honestly a 22" wheel would be more practical because you can get a bigger sidewall. You also have to take into consideration that your front hubs stick out a lot more than the rears so you need to get 4wd s10 wheels and not 2wd's. If you get 2wd's they will stick out BIG TIME.

Yea, I did the calculations earlier and they were going to stick out ~2 inches

I've decided on 22"s, just waiting on the money to transfer from the bank to paypal so I can order em.

Width is a problem. Check the driverside rear!! The emergency cable bracket is on the outter side of the frame rail. You have to modify the bracket or move it. The guys at Discount tire ruined a brand new tire because they didn't notice the bracket touching the tire.

Ok the wheels arrived today and I went and had some tires put on.

22x8.5 Incubus rims
265/35/22 Falken tires

Rainy, shitty day, and I haven't washed/polished them after the mechanics had their greasy hands all over em :P

What you guys think?

I realized after looking at these pictures how hideous the stock antenna is and it must be replaced promptly!

The body color strikes me as odd. What color is it? I've never seen one like it.

I checked today and didn't notice anything touching the tire/wheel on all 4 corners.

I'm not sure the exact name of the color but I found out in another thread from Orangesonama (I think) that that color only came on fleet/work vehicles

yeah that's what I was going to say, it looks like a fleet truck color. I think that molding is off a fullsize though.

Just have the antenna shaved or get a billet one.
