What is the technical name for this part?
The rear pillar cover/cap?
Example on a Tahoe: ![]() I want to get this painted the color of my car because it is fading and may look better colored. Because my blazer is dark blue, I think I can pull it off. If the color is light, the painted pillars ends up looking too boxy and less sleek, in my opinion. Anyways, I can't take the part off and go driving around for days while all my parts are being painted (several other mods), so I want to buy two of these to have painted then put on. Since I don't really know the name and can't figure it out, I can't find it anywhere... Anyone have one for each side to sell? |

Re: What is the technical name for this part?
you have to take the window out since its attched to them. Your better off just masking off the windows and painting them since the windows are poprivvted in. I plan to paint mine this summer since they are faded and ugly! The tech name for them my guess is rear window vents... |

They are part of the window! Like mentioned before. I don't know what kinda plastic it is, but when they go bad, they look like crap.
My passenger side one looked like sh!t so I priced a new one out from the dealer, around $900.00. So I masked it and rattle canned it gloss black. ![]() Last edited by D.T. : 01-02-2009 at 07:44 AM. |

Yup, best thing is to bring it in and get them painted on the truck. I sanded mine all down because it was really pitted, then had them painted along with my truck and they are perfect now.
