what does blazer weigh

a stock four door 2wd blazer with 4.3 auto trans a/c full power everything. also any one know what the max weigh capacity is as far as towing or hualing stuf in it?

no i don`t own a blazer but i have a blazer rear i was gonna put in a car i`m building but its an old car and i wanted to make sure that the vehicle weights were close if not this rear is gonna bend.

The 4 door blazers are close to 4500 with a full tank of gas and also have a decent towing capacity, so the rear will be just fine in the car. The real limitations to weight are in the suspension.

my 00 4dr 4x4 is only 4100pounds with a/c p/w, spare, full fuel.

and according to my owners manual, im good for towing 5000lbs, and lil more if i had a 2wd. and yes, my truck has towed almost 5000lbs these motors are torquey lil b!tches.

thats great info just what i was looking for. i have one out of a blazer now but i can get one out of a 2.2 s10 with the 4.10 gears so i think thats what ima do. they should be rated the same i would think.. both rears are out of 95 s seris except the one out of the blazer is 3.75 gears and the s10 is 4.10 gears.

I'm pretty sure they're all the same axle housing... just different gears. Go for it.

BTW, I weighed my 2 door on a truck scale the other day with a 40 lb toolbox, full tank, spare, and myself in it and it weighed in at a hefty 4140lbs.

just weighed my stock 01 2dr 2wd 1/2 tank of gas.it weighed 3760 with no one in it.if that helps anyone.

my 02 2 dr 2 wd weighs about 3800 and some loose change.....Have pulled a tow dolly and anonther 91 blazer about 400 miles with no problem.
