tommy hilfiger blazer????

Today I bought a 1998 gmc jimmy .it has a tommy hilfeger paint scheme and embroidered power leather seats,sunroof,front and rear brush guards,4x4,and power everything.IS it a cheap knock off or a tommy hilfiger conversion of some type.there is a video on youtube showing what I believe to be the exact truck I bought.here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X54f6B9KWNU
fast forward to 2:18 and they show it for a few seconds.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I will post some pics tomorrow

Sounds like a pretty good deal other than its ugly IMO cant beat the price though

nothing some paint can,t cure.and plus I love the front brush guards and the ice blue headlights.and the interior is not to over done only accented

Sounds like a ghetto fabulous edition. There's plenty of one off Caprices like that around my work. The Skittles car, the U of M car, the Gucci one, and several others I've seen and forgotten. I doubt Hilfiger would start with a Jimmy if it were a real vehicle concept by them. I would think they would choose something higher class like a Range Rover, BMW or Benz.

I thought it was just a walk around video of the person selling it so I didn't click on it. I remember GM having several designers do project cars with them for this cancer cure fund raiser. I didn't know they sold the vehicles when they were done though. I thought they were destroyed. Apparently it's only worth $2500 if that's all you had to pay for it.

it is actually in very good condition and the only reason i got it so cheap is because the transmission may need rebuilt or replaced which strikes me as a little strange cause its only got 41,000 miles on it

Wish I could have gotten my Blazer that cheap! Get some better pics of that thing up. I want to see what kind of wheel/tire setup they used. As well as what the interior looks like.

the rims are stock for the year make and model and the tires are 33inch BF all terrains.I will get some pics up probably tomorrow afternoon.The truck is in the shop right know but I think it may have the same rims as my 2000 s10 .Whatever everyone is calling them i am not sure but i would call the the LS stock rims

You are right they are only 31 bf 's not 33 and only the spare is the original all terrain the previous owners replaced them with aless aggressive bf .and here are all the pics i took of it before I put in the shop for tranny work.

It is only a promotional vehicle, not a concept vehicle.

And usually vehicle used for promotions are not really worth much.

A fat 16 year old spoiled brat only owned it 6 weeks and did alot of minor damage in short time.but it is not crashed up any where.I want to put some bf mud terrains on .Everything works great except the damn tranny.even the power sun roof plus it has three tough looking skid plates under neath

open your glove box, the white sticker in there will have all the rpo codes, look for a zr2, or just snap a picture of the sticker and post it up here

It is in the shop right now for tranny work.that one will have to wait until the 28th.Did gmc make any ZR2's?? or did they call theirs something else

they did, however they were only available in canada not the US. if the headlights are HID's, then they originally came on the Envoys. head over to zr2usa.com and check out some pictures of the zr2's around the sight and see if yours looks like the onther ones.

do you have any more pictures to post of it?

Not until the 28th (that is when the transmission will be done) so for now that is all the pics I have.Did you see the craigslist add and the video mentioned in the first post of this thread.if so that is it till tuesday.YES. it does have HID lights.

from what i can see, i'd say it's a zr2... which is awesome if you purchased it thinking you were getting a regular blazer and ended up with a zr2. the paint job might not be all that flattering, but i'd leave it. only thing i would do is remove the running boards since the drivers side appears to be coming off at the rear anyways, and running boards are GHEY!

one question i have is what is the thing to the left of the ashtray?

$2500 aint too bad for it

**I do notice that the mirrors are not the 98+ mirrors that were used, they look like the 97- years

Early 98's had those style mirrors. All 3 of my 98 S trucks have that style. Only very late 98's got the new mirrors.

No, wouldn't say it on the title. It's just an RPO code. I'm guessing since it has 31's and the flares it is a real ZR2.

didnt know that about the mirrors.... bummer, hate those older mirrors. as for the aux tape thing, eh-- who has cassettes anymore? take it out put somthin cool in the hole. might have to do a little cuttin but looks good. i've seen some pretty cool satelite recievers in there, cb's, whatever ya want. contact chevy and try and find out how many of these were built... kinda curious myself.
