This look right to you?

The front wheels look really far back in the wells to me... Anyone else think so? I asked them for a Carfax but they haven't got back with me yet. The little preliminary deal on carfax.com says it has 16 things to tell me so we'll see when they do get around to sending one over...

Re: This look right to you?

i learned on here that it looks as if many s series have positive caster.

when i had my s10 on the alignment rack, it had 7* caster.

Re: This look right to you?

That doesn't look right to me at all. They do sit WAY back towards the fender in the front. I don't have a clear side shot of my Blazer to show you. It definitely looks off to me. It might be because those look like larger than stock tires though. Stock should be 235/70/15's. If those are 235/75/15's they are almost an inch taller than stock and may throw off the proportions I'm used to seeing on my Blazer.

BTW, it's funny, the "free" Carfax that I found for mine lists 16 things as well. I didn't want to waste $30 since I had already bought it and everything I could find I was aware of before I signed the paperwork. Most of the things it lists are title transfers so if it's been bought and sold a few times, it will list multiple things. It will also show any time any dealer recalls have been performed. I can't remember if it shows dealer maintenance as well or not.

Re: This look right to you?

I started doing the free check on others and it seems 16 records is about average... Low was 9 and high was 24 out of the 10 or so I did. Since they haven't gotten back to me at all I'll prob just get the $24.99 60-day AutoCheck in case I have to do more than one.

Being really picky with this car purchase... '01+ 2-dr Blazer or '01+ ext cab Ranger w/ v6, 5-spd, and less than 80k miles for under $5k. And it can't be white, red, green, or tan. Wish me luck...

Re: This look right to you?

That's a TALL order to meet all those requirements. I didn't want burgandy but the price was good and the miles were good and it had all the equipment I wanted. I had found a red one with less miles but it had NO options but an automatic.

Re: This look right to you?

Rangers are junk and I am not saying that just because I own GM. THey have nightmarish problems far more than GM's own usual headaches.

Re: This look right to you?

hard to say with the pic...they do look somewhat too far back, but it could be the size of the tires (if they are in fact a size or two too big). it also looks like (if it had been in an accident) that they didnt blend the paint well on the driver side...but then again, you really cant go by a picture when it comes to paint, it could just be the angle.

its definately worth it to get the 60-day autocheck from carfax (in my opinion) i went through about 20 s10's & blazers before i found mine. and i didnt realize until i stumbled upon this forum how rare my find was. i paid $4500 for my 2000 jimmy 2DR with just over 55k

Re: This look right to you?

My Jimmy has the same stance. 255/60R17 rub a little when the body twists, turns or in reverse. I need to trim the bottom of the front wheel well. Looks okay to me. You really notice the spacing with larger than stock tires.
