tailgate problem
ok on my tailgate when i pull the handle on the inside it doesnt unlock it, so there must be something broken on the inside, only problem is that to take the panel off to see the tailgate needs to be open. so is there anyway to manually unlock or do i have to have the dealer look at it?????

Re: tailgate problem
I'd try to jimmy(bad pun I kno) it open before going to the stealership, and see if anyone else know if it's a fuse or not. |

Re: tailgate problem
On my 2-dr, i have a push-in knob on the gate the unlocks and pops-open the glass, and then the gate handle is on the inside. After thinking about it, if my glass is open i don't think my gate is locked at all....i will have to look at that.
Anywho, not sure if you have 4-dr or 2-dr. |

Re: tailgate problem
Yeahey. The power lock is just for the window popper, not the tailgate handle. With the doors locked, you can still pull handle from inside and unlatch the tailgate, even though window will still be closed and locked. At least thats the way mine is. If your gate isn't openning, its probably a rod come loose. To open without tearing it up, take the handle off and look for the lever or rod to pull on.
