tail gate handle and handless

i see many blazers running around with an exterior tail gate handle. but mine and maybe 2 or 3 others i have seen dont. so they have the electric window pop and must use the inside handle to relase the tail gate. i havent paid much attention to the bravadas or jimmys. oh, and i have never seen an envoy in the 2nd gen body.

95-97 have the window pop w no tailgate handle, 98+ have both beacause they have a liftgate instead of a tailgate

a lift gate like the whole end with the glass and metal under lid comes up? my lower folds down, and the glass lifts up. and it has the push button electric pop. is mine a factory freak made with leftover parts or last resort parts? everything looks stock like there was no body work done on it at all. i pulled up all the info from the gmdealerworld site, and it didnt show anything srastic involving my vin #.

my 98 has the window pop and my moms old 02 she had had the window pop, both are 4 doors. my 98 has the button with the key and my moms just had the button, no key. they changed that each year

Ones that came with remote keyless entry didn't have a keyhole on the button to pop the glass.

then your f^ckered if your RKE doesnt work. like mine. i think it just needs to be turned on in the bcm. bought the blazer, and none of the options worked. i think it needs to be programmed in the bcm since it seems its a replacement one. heater core probably leaked on it.

my 01 2dr blazer has an electronic hatch and has an inner gate handle, no outer one at all, and its factory 100%

my envoy has a lift gate/hatch... it's got an electronic switch to pop the glass open and a manual latch to lift up the whole hatch...

the system is crap.. it rusts and then the glass won't stay locked... you have to spray it with a heavy penetrating solvent for it to free up.. then it's good for a little while then repeat again...

My '00 Jimmy has the window pop and inner tailgate handle. It is a two door. Is there a difference between the two doors and the more doors?

YEs, because IIRC, all two doors are glass/tailgate while all 98+ 4 doors are hatchs (and all 97 and older are glass/tailgate)
