Stupid windshield wipers...among other things.

Well, it's been raining here alot and sometimes when I'm driving my wipers will just stop working and a humming sound will come out of the dash. I have to pull over and push my wipers back and forth to get them going again. I thought it might be my wiper motor, and thought about getting another one at the scrap yard, but I wanted to double check and see if you guys think that is what the problem is.

Oh, and if anyone want's to figure out this problem....(seems like everything is going wrong with my Blazer...)

When I step on the brakes sometimes, my radio will shut off, all my gauges will turn on and my spedo will fly from 100MPH to 5MPH....Someone said it might be a ground problem, but I don't know...any help would be nice.

Oh, and I think my fuel pump is going out because sometimes it will die when backing out of my driveway and it will sputter at stop lights. I listened in the back of the Blazer when it was running and the fuel pump "Buzz" was cutting out...

Yeah, that's about it....

I think you already know whats going on

wipers sounds like a wiper motor to me

dash problems sound like a bad ground

The wiper motor problems is common among trucks too. The sodder on the board contact melt over time. You need to remove the board from the box. Use a small soder gun and resodder the contact pins. I've seen done to a lot of trucks.

Also if your not good at soldering, a guy on ebay was selling boards that you could put in to replace your old one. I think they were going for like 25 bucks.
