Stupid Question about headlights

I've got a burned out headlight on my 97 Blazer. I removed the air filter housing to get to it but there was a brace in the way. I could get to the high beam with no problem but I couldn't really get to the low beam. Do I have to remove the grille or something??

Re: Stupid Question about headlights

No you remove the headlight. There should be two long pieces of metal sticking way out of the top of the grille where the hood covers the area or where the hood and grille meet when closed. they can be removed with a socket or pliers ( I use a socket)
The bolts are really long but when you take them out the whole headlight will come out so brace it or it may fall out.
Anyway thats how I take off the headlights on my 95 Jimmy. this one has the plastic one piece headlights high low beam and turn corner signal. Not sure if yours is the exact same but thats how the composite headlight gets taken out

Mine has the individual bulbs and I'm just trying to change the low beam (9006) bulb.

no dude that is how you do it...you remove the long blots on top of thie light and the headlight will fall out...or you may have to pull it out ....yjem you can get access to the bulbs and then replace in reverse...ill try to find a pic for you....

i know its a sonoma headlight...but it is the same thing...the two tall screws on top are what you take out...
