Stopping Power
Although not nessiscary, I'd like to upgrade the braking system on my '00 2dr Blazer. However I'm not sure what all to go with, I've been told cross drilled and slotted, but then I've heard they don't actually do anything. I'm looking for the entire system; I'd rather not cheap out.
Also, I'm looking for direct fits; I don't want to do much modding; and the websites I look at have about 2 options for braking upgrades. So what's my best plan? I've seen Corvette brakes, but I've been told it takes some work to get them to work. |

Re: Stopping Power
Baer Brakes should have what you need. Check out the GMC truck section.
Some 14" rotors ought to do the trick! ![]() |

Re: Stopping Power
Yeah, Baer or SSBC both have bolt on kits for the S-series, I think.

Re: Stopping Power
I thought you said there was some work done on to get the Corvette brakes in?
SSBC and Baer reputable companies? What should I go for? Slotted, drilled, or both? |

Re: Stopping Power
I've got my front brakes upgraded with bigger rotors and stock calipers. I think the calipers work great since they are already dual piston, then I have Corvette rotors added on. They are just normal rotors and could easily be switched to some nicer ones. Acehaag is selling kits for these at a great price.

Re: Stopping Power
going bigger on brakes means going bigger in wheels.

Re: Stopping Power
heres what i wanna ask, whats the difference in the vette calipers and blazer calipers? they look almost the same, and as far as i know the pistons are the same size. so why is everyone swapping to vette setup?

Re: Stopping Power
I've got no clue actually... If they're the same I probably won't even consider them.
Is cool to see Corvette stamped onto your calipers though. |
