Sqeaky Rear Hatch?
idk if anyone else has this problem....i have a 2000 4dr 2wd blazer with the lift gate, my problem is when going down the road hitting little bumps i have like a squeak/rattle coming from my back gate, i was wondering if anyone else had this and if so how they fixed it........thanks in advance

Spraying some WD-40 on the latch stopped the squeak in mine.

Same here, but I used lithium grease, It drove me crazy. I just went over every point I thought would cause it.

The latch where the window meets the gate or where the gate meets the truck......or just go crazy and spray everything lol........thanks

Give the metal loop of the latch a couple of rounds with black tape. Not a permanent fix, but mine lasted a long time.

Sorry to distress you... Now chill the hell out will ya already!! Go get some white lithium grease spray and lube crap out of it. The latches are a crappy design and like I said earlier, most ALL Blazers/Jimmys will eventually get the squeak. ![]() |

no delicate feelings here man, just when a ? is asked dont come back with a smart a$$ remark, then changing from say ALL blazer and now to sayin MOST blazers so get your story straight and have a nice day.....fyi its fixed before thanks to the 3 others the helped me......
