running a power wire

Hey I'm putting my system in tonight and figured I'd ask where the best place to go through the firewall is before I even start.. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

you will have to drill a hole somewhere or go through the same hole as the antenna. i went through the antenna hole with my 4 ga. you'll probably have to cut the grommet out bigger to fit it good.

i used the hole under the brake booster on the driver side. its got a rubber grommet on it.

Wherever you do go through, make sure that wire is going through a grommet, you don't want it rubbing against metal, it will cause you a ton of headaches.

however you decide to do it make sure it is fused.


I ran mine through both of the mentioned grommets. When I had the battery in the stock location I ran it through the driver side grommett. Now that the battery is inside the 1/0 is running through the antenna grommett.
