removing rear window befor paint???

ok so befor i jump into trying to remove my 2 back/side windows how do they come out? is it worth even taking out or should i just take my time and mask them? and also the same ol ugly back plastic pitted ect... can i take the black plastic off to sand and fill-prime or do i have to do that on my truck

some on please let me know befor this weekend also if you have pic`s of your truck with the plasic painted to match your truck (not black) please post some pictures

im pretty sure that the plastic and the glass are the same piece, no separating. and for taking them out, they are held in like a windshield with the urethane stuff. and for fixing the pits, ive heard that most people sand the plastic down, prime, sand. im leaving mine in when i bring it in and having my painter take care of all the fixing and stuff. the rest of the bodywork i did all myself.
