Removing gas tank cover on 2 door questions.
Can I take off just the black plastic cover over the gas tank on my 2000 2dr blazer? I want to leave the tank but remove the cover to clean it. Does it have separate bolts or use the same as the tank?

I believe the bolts for the cover are seperate. take a look under the truck and see for yourself.

Re: Removing gas tank cover on 2 door questions.
I have looked under the back and I can see the bolts. I can't see the bolts for the actual gas tank unless their above the mounts for the cover or they are the same. I do not want to take out a couple of bolts and the gas tank start to come out. Just thought I would try to get an answer on here so I would know what I am getting into.

there are straps holding the actual tank up, the bolts are just holding the cover.
