Question Removing Badges

I would like to remove the Blazer badges from my truck. I have a few questions:

1. Are they decals or will there be holes in the body once I remove them?
2. Is a hair dryer going to get hot enough to allow me to pull them off?
3. Once off, what is the best way to remove any residue?

I checked in the how to section but did not see anything on this.

thanks,

J.

Re: Removing Badges

well i kno u found a thread.. but in case anyone cant:

I removed the chevrolet emblem off the tailgate pretty easily..

All the 2nd gens (im pretty sure) are just stick on decals with that black foam glue backing stuff.

So get a shop towel thats clean, a screwdriver, and carefully use ur rag and a hand as a lever n pry it off in pieces..

You can try to use this stuff called "gue be gone" or sumthin.. I used 3M's sticker/residue remover.. Be sure to test it out on ur truck to see if it will remove ur paint or not tho.

I did mine but it took sum time.. I'm sure the whole screwdriver bit is a real bad idea!! But luckily i didnt touch mine at all...

Re: Removing Badges

I just finished taking all the emblems off. I used fishing string, my fingernails, and some adhesive remover. Takes a little bit of time, but looks so much better.

Re: Removing Badges

I just took ALLL my trim off today, already done away with the emblems on back a long long time ago.

the back trim pieces only ones that had holes from the screws that held it on.
