Rear Window washer fluid

The rear window washer fluid sprayer just wont work. I hit the button, and it dosent spray. Any suggestions? something as simple as cleaning the actual sprayer out?

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

The system on the blazer is set so that the Rear sprayer will stop before you run out of enough fluid for the front. I consider it kind of like a warning to let you know your fluid is low. So be sure to top of the fluid. In the past I have had a problem with some Ice build up on the end of my spraying tip so us a small pic to clear any debree. Be sure to write back If this isint any hlep.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

every now and then my sprayer does not work and i found its a loose conection at the switch sometimes i have to jiggle it around to get any fluid to squirt out. on a friends truck i found the line came disconected under neith the rear carpet area right in front of the tail gate but all the fluid ran onto the ground and you could see it. could be as simple as a pluged line, or low on fluid.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

no, I didnt. With my PT Cruiser, if you hit the sprayer, it automaticly moved the rear wiper...

that is probably my problem...

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

Have someone push the button while you listen at the reservoir for the pump. If it's not running, but its getting voltage with the button depressed, then you need to replace the pump.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

Where you add washer fluid to, there are two pumps, top one feeds the rear window. If you have someone push the button on the inside to have it spray, you should hear the pump, if not, then it's either not getting power, or the pump is bad. The washer pump should be where you start your problem diagnosing.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

I had a couple of connections come loose inside the rear hatch which caused the fluid to just run out on the ground. Could be that the fluid just isn't making it to the nozzle. Is there anywhere inside that's getting wet when you run the pump? Try disconnecting the line from the nozzle and push the button, see if anything comes out.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

There is a check valve in the fluid line that is accessible under the trim piece at the back of the body sill. Pop the plastic moulding off and dig in there for the fluid line. The valve may be stuck closed.

Re: Rear Window washer fluid

Yes, if you disconnect the line at the pump, then turn it on, it should squirt out. You can do the same at the rea window nozzle.
