Radiator has provisions for oil cooling, right?

Well, say, I'm looking to get an aluminum radiator or just something better than stock. If I find something on summit's website that says it'll fit my blazer, do they have the oil lines, or do you have to go to a separate cooler? I'd think a separate one would work better anyways...

There are 2 lines that come out just above the oil filter that go to the radiator where there is are 2 connections for the oil cooler. If there is a kit, it should come with the lines for the kit so you can remote mount it somewhere else. But the oil cooler thats in the radiator should work perfectly fine. A Trans cooler would be more beneficial.

Does a trans cooler come with a pump or something to circulate the fluid?

No, your transmission circulates the fluid

Ah, well, I guess I figured that it did, I just don't understand how it will make it flow specifically through some lines I would install in the fill and drain holes in the transmission. When I put the fluid in it I just kept pouring it in until it came out the top hole and then I knew it was full, but I didn't have to spin the shaft or anything to get it to come out, which leads me to believe that if I installed any kind of cooler to it, I'd have to have a pump to circulate it out of the transmission... or am I missing something?

You don't install lines in the drain and fill holes in the transmission.

There are 2 lines that come out of your transmission for cooling. One is outbound with pressure from the pump. It goes into the top portion of the rad and vaccum sucks it back in to the inbound line from the bottom of the rad. When you install a trans cooler, it still does it, there is just more volume. More volume=better heat dissapation=better fluid cooling.

The transmission doesn't require spinning anything for priming. Simply turn the truck on to operating temp and pour fluid into the fill NOT until it comes out but at the proper line on the transmission dip stick level. If you've lost fluid adding/removing something, after it's warmed up, and you put in fluid, run it slowly through all gears then check the level again.

Shyte!!! It's a manual! When he said the thing about a trans cooler being more beneficial, I just immediately was trying to think how that'd work on mine, being a stick! Never even humored the idea of you guys not knowing that, duh me... Guess that's what I get for only being on here at 4am or later and being tired as fock... jeez... lol
