Question for blazer owners
I have a few questions for you guys seeing has how I just lumped myself in with you guys and gals..I just got a 05 blazer 2dr 4x4. my questions are as follows
1) where do you get chrome bowties I have looked everywhere in my neighbourhood and on ebay and cannot find them.. 2) the clear lenses - the ones from any 98+ S10 will fit on a blazer correct ? 3) in regards to euro tails - if I go that route if it is labeled as fitting a 02 Blazer will it fit a 05 ? |

Re: Question for blazer owners
The bowties are generally called "billet" bowties and are actually not really chromed, but rather they are a solid piece of billet aluminum. they just looked chromed
yes, any 98+ clear lens turn signal will fit the front. for the tails, I believe any 94+ blazer/jimmy/bravada tail will fit. I don't really like the look of euro tails, you may want to consider tinting your stock tails black. there's a thread on that in the body/paint section. basically all you do is sand the DOT numbers off of them and rough up the rest of the tail with sand paper, use spray on tint (they sell nightshades spray tint at jcwhitney.com or a hobby shop will sell cans of RC car tint...they're the same thing basically). for less than $5 and an hour of work your tails will be black but legal since light can be seen through them. looks really good on darker colored s-series trucks and suvs |

Re: Question for blazer owners
Another thing I noticed while recently shopping for a grille is that most post they will not fit for "LS" models..now there is no badging on my blazer that states its an LS but I do not want to find out after ebaying a grille its the wrong one, how can I find out if it fits :P

Re: Question for blazer owners
I think the LS has the bottom lip on the grille that rests on the bumper and the non LS do not. I dont know this for sure though...I've got a Jimmy with a blazer conversion and I used an xtreme grille

Re: Question for blazer owners
I like the look of the tinted back lights but I have a Pewter Blazer..sort of light body colour and I am getting all clear lenses on my front end..dunno if the contrast would really look nice.. Last edited by Cyg : 08-19-2006 at 06:16 PM. |

Re: Question for blazer owners
If you got the grill with the chrome strip touching the hood, then it's the horizontal bars grill. I'm not sure if the LS models on the 2dr Blazer are the same as the pick up LS models (in terms of grills) and most sellers list according to the pickup models.
Post a pic of the truck. |

Re: Question for blazer owners
I got my headlights off ebay. You can get clears off ebay or euro clears too. For a pewter truck the blacked out might not look the absolute best, although this is a blazer and your back glass and trim all around the windows is black and can work well with it too. if you go with clears the diamond clears look a little less rice IMO, but its your truck so do what you want with that.
