Re: Question about shaved door handles?
Yep u can shave the rear doors. Auxiliary solenoid? eh not really needed. Just install a hidden button. If ur really worried install 2 of em for dif doors just incase the selenoid craps out. And with the hidden button i used a water proof one wire directly to the selenoid so if my battery died and i needed to get in the truck to change the battery i could just hook up 12 volts to the button wires that go straight to the selenoid and pop i'm in. I have even seen some people have a wire to pull on to get in. I'd def buy the AVS ones since they just bolt right up. Most use a cable and is PITA fixing the cable if they break... You have to rip your door panel off and then unlach ur door with ur hands. With a blazer atleast you also have the hatch to pop open if none of the doors work for some reason.

I can't see shaving the front doors without shaving the rear doors too.

Re: Question about shaved door handles?
on my old truck there was a hole in the frame and it was like a perfect fit didn't even have to drill. Don't do it in like the fender wells cause most people put them there i have heard. Just make sure its not visable and don't tell many people about it.

Re: Question about shaved door handles?
I wouldn't bother with backup BUTTONS or WIRES. Just get an emergency release cable. We are working on the bolt in rear door poppers right now. Should be ready within 2 weeks. |
