Question about rmp and idol

When my trucks stoped at a light it idols at like 500rpm and the oil pressure drops,But if i give it a bit of gas to like 800 rpm its smooth and oil pressure stays good any ideas why this could be..the motor only got 85 000kms on it..Even when first driving from a stop its got a small hesitation

Re: Question about rmp and idol

500 rpm is normal for anything maybe 98 and newer. I know my 96 idles at about 750 but my 99 idles at 500. Oil pressure at idle when hot would normally be about 20psi and when you hit that 800-1000 the pressure would run above 40.

The hesitation could be ignition related or it could be a fuel filter problem or even injectors. Lots to check for with that.
