Power... Honest Opinion

I'm pretty dissapointed in the lack of power from my 4.3 Envoy...

not expecting it to break speed records, but i thinkit should have a lot more power...

do you consider your 4.3 blazer/bravada/jimmy/envoy Slow, Fast or Peppy?

i've driven v8s and there is zero comparison, especially since everyone says the 4.3 is a 350 minus 2 cylinders. honestly, power wise i am dissappointed in my envoy. I did however manage to explode my rear diff though.

not looking to start a debate here, just curious on others opinions of the same ride

I have an 01 Blazer with the 4.3. It is the same as a 350 block without the 2 back cylinders. I dont have any issues with the power on mine. It will spin the tires if I want and It has plenty of get-up-and-go so I can pull out in Atlanta traffic.

in comparison to my sons 98 blazer, my 99 envoy is gutless. I wonder if they programmed the computer in the envoys for "gutless"... the blazer will run circles around my envy and it kills me.

Tune up latly? These trucks arent fast. Weve got a decent amount of TQ. The trucks have alot more low end than they do top end.

my truck is peppy i would say, it surprises people at stop lights, its quicker than it looks... but not by much
