Original and Xtreme color match?

I just bought my 2001 2dr Blazer LS a couple days ago and was so excited i decided to start modding it already.

I took the roof rack off but put the screws back in because im just gonna wait 'till next spring to smooth the holes out.

My question is about paint matching though. I ordered a stock OEM Burgundy grille off of eBay the other day. It looked to match my paint in the pics but when i recieved it, it doesnt quite match my paint. My burgundy paint seems to have a metallic flake in it.

Is the Xtreme blazer burgundy different from the LS burgundy, as in is the Xtreme just a burgundy gloss? Sorry forgot to mention the grille is the burgundy gloss.

I was thinking i could just have it repainted instead of repainting my stock grille since the stock one has the chrome strip in the middle of it.

Any answers/suggestions? Thanks

if your stock grille is okay can't you just swap out the chrome strip? there should be some screw cap, bottle cap looking thing on th eback of the grille twist 'em off and the strip should come out. Whats the paint code on the truck 9088?

I don't think there was a difference between the Xtremes and normal paint colors. Yeah, the paint code for that color is 9088 and is called "Dark Cherry Red Metallic". The chrome strip has speed nuts on the back i think probably 10mm. Just take those off and your golden.
