noise while turning

Sorry if this has already been answered.

When I turn the wheel almost full either direction, it makes a nasty grinding noise. I cant tell where it is coming from, but it is only when I turn full lock. Is this a serious problem?

Re: noise while turning

its hard to make a guess without hearing a noise but my friend had a problem like that and is it tougher to turn the wheel? if it is then it might be your power steering.. check fluids and such.. could be your powering steering pump but if its not then no clue.. gl w/ it

Re: noise while turning

i dont think that its harder to turn...if it is, it is ever slight. The noise is a grinding noise (metal on metal) and it is only at full lock turns (backing out of a parkingspot)

Re: noise while turning

I have a good knocking noise when I turn it nearly to full lock. I'm not sure what it is either.
