New here, great board, need jimmy help
I have a 1995 gmc jimmy with about 130,000 miles on it. I had to put a new motor in this march due to remote oil filter line coming apart doing 80 on the highway.
Bought a reman, with a a good warranty. All is well regarding that. Before the motor went, we had a pretty noticeable miss at idle. Since the motor went, i did all the tune up stuff with the new motor, thought that would solve it. But the new motor still has the same miss at idle. You can even hear it through the exhaust. When i did the motor, i did plugs, wires, cap, cleaned my egr valve, my injector was recently new, but i checked for any signs of leakage. The gas mileage has really suffered. My gf drives this mostly highway and can only manage around 230-240 to a tank. Which i assume is very low. I do not know if the o2 sensors have ever been changed, i may do that, anything else you can think of, i will be rechecking the cpi unit for leaks this weekend. |
