Need You Suggestions (Suspension)

Figured I would ask the experts.

I currently own a 96 Blazer. There's a weird sound coming out of the front end. It seems when ever I'm accelerating or going really slow (5-15 mph) is the times you can hear it. It's almost like a winding sound. Well regardless I'm going to take the truck to the mechanic in a few days to take a look at it. If it's nothing major it's time for me redo the suspension/front end (joints, rods, bushings, etc). I'm not looking for anything crazy, just a good clean ride and good handling. Not really looking to drop it or anything. I was thinking of throwing bilsteins in there, but what I would like is your suggestion on what other parts I should look into and would need. I don't want to spend more than 5-700 on this. I just need this car to last me another year as I just got married and def dont' have the money to invest in a new car.

Re: Need You Suggestions (Suspension)

so your looking to make your stock blazer, which is a SUV, handle better without lowering it? and you want to spend 5-700bucks on it, and your wondering if the new shocks will help?

no they wont, your going to have to lowering it for better handling, because they are top heavy, and o yea its a suv

Re: Need You Suggestions (Suspension)

Actually I need to change the suspension because I've avoided doing it like the plague for the past few year and the ride has come to the point that it needs to get done. All i'm really looking to do is replace the suspension but if there's any place I can get better parts for to make it better then that's what I'm looking for in suggestions. I use this car to go to and from work so I don't want to go crazy on spending too much on it.
