Need Some Help !!!!!!
On my Wife's Blazer X , the back window will not release. You can push the button on the outside or the one on the inside and we can hear the motor, but it won't release the glass. She just came back from a weekend trip and wasn't happy
She had to unload the suitcases from the front.Has nebody ran into this problem, or if anybody has a clue on how to fix this. I crawled back there and can't even see where you can pop the trim off to access the latch/motor. Any help would be great. Thanks in Advance |

Re: Need Some Help !!!!!!
I'll tell you what it is... I went through this with my Jimmy a while back. With mine, it was a freakin' 50 cent piece of plastic that broke. The plastic piece connects the actuator to the rod that releases the window. And the only way to get a new one is to buy the whole $30-40 assembly, screw that. You might be able to rip one out yourself in a salvage yard, thats how I got mine (actually, Kevin did, thanks man). As for getting it open, take the inside gate handle off and you can pry your way down. At least thats what I did with mine.

Re: Need Some Help !!!!!!
If your rear glass has not been opened for a while, the rubber weather strip/seal can "bond" to the glass and hold it tightly closed. Try to give it a good tug when you have released it. Sometimes they have release but since the glass is held on like that, it does not appear that it is open. Go to GM and buy a small bottle of silicone weather strip lubricant. It is a silicone sludge that you apply with a brush that resembles a large cotton ball. That should keep it from sticking.
