Need help

I have a 98 Blazer with the 4.3. The problem is when I bought it I was told that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. I replaced it with a new sending unit and I still have the same problem. Every now and then when I go to start it, it turns over but does not start. It seems that if I turn the key back and forth a few times as to prime the fuel pump then it will start.I was thinking about the crankshaft sensor but that's only a guess. The engine light is not on. Other than that it runs just fine. Oh yeah, I forgot. Ever since I replaced the sending unit, the fuel guage does not work properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Need help

You sure it's grounded good? There has been a lot of problems with fuel pumps being bad right out of the box, what kind did you get?

I have a 98 as well, and my fuel pump relay was corroded, make sure yours ain't the same way.
