Question Need Help!!

ok.. i took out the relay inside the glove box on my 97 s-10 blazer for the daytime runners cause i dont really like how it looks..and my drivers side headlight becomes extremely dim even after brand new sylverstar headlights ...puttin the relay back in fixes the dimmness but i want to know if anyone knows how to shut the daytime runners off without making the headlights weak and without doing it by just puttin the parking brake on...please let me know if anyone does.
