neater core bypass
'96 Jimmy 4x4, 4.3L Vortec V6, leaking coolant inside. I know it's the heater core, but can anyone tell me how to bypass it? I need really detailed instructions guys. Has anyone had one replaced recently that could give me a ballpark figure on parts and labor. i assume dash removal is a bitch and anyone who does the job will charge well for it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: neater core bypass
My heater core is leaking but in the mean time I bypassed the heater core until I get it fixed. I bought one of those Help! products that is a piece of plastic tubing about 2" long. One side is a bigger diameter than the other. I pulled the hoses from the firewall and attached them to this Help! product.
