motor swap
i have another 4.3 motor going in my blazer...is there anything i should do to make it go in easier...like what should i take off to pull the other motor out...any suggestions on making this process easy...thanks

take off all your pulleys, starter, are you takin the motor and transmission out

Welcome!
Pulling a 4.3 is just like pulling most any other motor.the only thing you can really take-off to make it easier is going to be the headers/exaust manifolds.Undo your wiring harness take off your fan and shroud,unbolt the exaust manifolds and tie them back out of your way unbolt the 6 tranny bolts and torque converter bolts (if auto),I beleive there is a kick down for your trans (could be wrong) remove that from your throttle linkage if it has it. Remove your coolent first obviously to save you loads of mess and undo all coolent lines. Undo the motor mounts and your ready to pull it. I would take the radiator off too, i did when i took my motor out. It was still a pain in the ass with that off.

radiator (of course), take the radiator support, and the grill out so you have more room to work, it's like 8 screws or something. Then when you got your cherry picker on it you can come up and out. You could take your hood off, so it doesn't get in your way (it's 2 bolts, and one guy can carry an s10 hood)

thanks guys ....hopefully it won't suck too much ass putting it in......cuz i need the motor in before i put my 14" red and chrome el camenio wheels on......and drop that pig so i'll be able to get in it on my knees. and dual flowmaster exhaust....i'll still keep it on the bottle.

other motor from brandywine has alot of sludge under the valve covers...i need to know is it worth the time to put in the truck....i need help asap ...thanks
