Missing speakers in dash

I thought this was normal until a friend with a stock 2001 had some in his.
Mine is a 98 LS. Didn't have keyless entry either. Is this normal for the 98 LS's?

I haven't looked yet but I noticed the other day it doesn't sound like I have front speakers. I have a base model '01 Jimmy.

My 98 and my dads 01 came with the tweeters in the dash.

Now when my dad has a 98 sls zq8 sonoma he had the 4x6's up front.

My 96 had speakers up front also.

my dads 01 is a xtreme . My 98 I believe was a LT. I removed the badges awhile back and forgot what they said. Only fancy option i have is sunroof, all power, tilt, cruise and column shift. That is it.

Well I guess some of the LS models just didn't have keyless or tweeters in the dash.

The real question here should be is What level OEM stereo are in your trucks ?

Report back with....

1) Does your truck have or not have dash speakers.

and

2) Does your truck have the BOSE Head unit/speakers ?

I have an '04 4 door Blazer with the single disc player and as far as I know, I have dash speakers. I might pull a cover off tomorrow and see if I have tweeters or something else. I always assumed that tweeters were the only dash option for the late 2nd gens. No BOSE. Swapping to the 6 disc changer this winter.

my dash had paper in the place of where the speakers should of been,wasent any speaker wiring there either..i've seen added pioneer 4x6s. it was actual weird thou the guy i bought the truck off of didnt do any audio changes axcept a different cheap cd player..the rear panels in the ext'cab part only the driver side had a factory speaker in it..the passanger side didnt.the stock door speakers were there.

My 02 has 'em, 4x6 plates. My 02 truck had them, my Dad's 2000's (ZR2 and a 2wd) have 'em annnnnnnnnnd even mine and my Dad's 95 ZR2's had 'em. All of them have had the single disc cd. Weird u don't have them. Trim levels on all but my white 02 were LS models.

my 00 jimmy had factory bose headunit and such.. its all been replaced with marine speakers and a marine headunit for the sake of drowning my truck.. lol.. but my 99 blazer was fully optioned except in the stereo dept.. no tweeters or anything. it has every option besides that..

i guess they could have been an option item for a better sound system that or they ran out of speakers on the line

my buddies 00 didn't have any either.

tho my 01 had a set of bose once up in the dash to bad all others where ac delco's

... good thing i paid extra for that bose upgrade

My '02 LS has tweeters, no Bose. Keyless entry is post-factory. OEM am/fm/cd & I added the console doghouse & OEM cassette. Also series wired in a kicker box to the rr door speakers for the cargo area.

my 01 has some small speakers in the dash. i assume they're tweeters. don't know if it has keyless entry though. didn't get a key fob when i bought it. anyway to tell if it does or not?

yeah.. lock the doors with the windows down, wait a few mins and then try to open the door by reaching in.. if the alarm goes off put the key in the door or ignition and turn it.. the alarm will reset.
