Master cylinder
Will a master cylinder off a 1995 S-10 pick up work on a 1997 Bravada?

Re: Master cylinder
Today I got a new MC. Rear brakes were still not working. The whole story is about 4 months ago my Bravada needed brakes. So I got all new everything, pads, rotors and calipers. When I was bleeding the brakes their was a pin size hole in the line just by the rear drivers tire. I got a new section of brake line and put it in their. After it being a pain in the ass to bleed I finally got it working good. Then in about a 1000 miles my brake light came on, I was thinking it was the wheel bearings. I have heard that they make that light come on and I know mine are worn out. About 50 miles after that light came on the brakes got really soft so I jacked the rear end up and found out I had no brakes. None, zip, nadda. Couldn't even stop the tires in neutral. Today I put a new MC on it and got the front to get great pressure. But once again no pressure at the rear calipers. So I went to where the line was broke and took it off to see if I had pressure, once again nothing. So I took the rear brake line of the ABS system and found out that I had no fluid coming out of that. But I had pressure and fluid going into the ABS from the MC. So is their any way to test the ABS to see what it is or just get a new one?
Thanks, Mike |
