Lowering a blazer

I have a 2WD GMC Jimmy that I lowered 3/4(springs and blocks). My problem is that the front is sitting approximately .50 of an inch higher in the front. Will the springs settle over time? Or should I go ahead and order 3 inch blocks? I was wondering if I removed my fullsize spare from the rear if that would do the trick.

Re: Lowering a blazer

Is it still not settling down, or is it simply that you prefer the semi-raked look? I'm about to drop a few bucks on some 3" springs, and I'm curious to see if it's dropped a little bit for you since the initial installation...

Haha, that was the same thought process I went through on mine. When I priced out the parts to 5/6 it, it came to a little bit less than the bag setup for the front. I think you can tell which way i decided to go.

No, it's still not settling. I figured I'd give it a couple of weeks, being that I only drive it on the weekends. I have maybe put 100 miles on it since dropped. Here's what I'm working with.

They're a little pricey compared to most blocks, but they're built like a brick shithouse, and you can buy angled shims that bolt right to the top of the block in several different degrees to get the best pinion angle for your situation. They even have 1/2" blocks that will bolt right to the main block also.

It was level. Does anyone know if I'd need angled blocks if I went to a 3 inch block.

Re: Lowering a blazer

you should be fine with just a 3 inch block...the pinion angle isnt very bad at that height on a blazer...anything over 4 inches or if you run a block with drop springs you need to adjust the angle
