low heat

My wifes 98 Blazer has a heater issue. Warms up to normal temp blow semi warm heat but not as hot as it should. Both the lines to the heater core seam to be the same temp. No coolant loss. I am going to do a flush on the heater core and swap the T stat with an new one. Am I on the right track? Any advice?

Re: low heat

Yes, back flush the heater core.

Before I did my 99 Blazer, both heater core lines were about the same temp as well with similar problems like you explained. Once I back flushed it and what not, it was working again.
