Lock cylinder help please! Passlock??

Alright. We bought a 99 olds bravada about 2 weeks ago. Go into store today, come out. The key goes into ignition but will not turn. I've tried everything...steering has no pressure on it because wheels are not turned. Moved the trans selector around(wont go out of park), locked the door with keyless and reopened, locked with power lock switch and used key to open. The thing never acted up before, but now it just wont turn. Even tried the spare key...same thing. The security light blinks when you unlock the door and open it. It has done that since we bought it but I'm not sure if it is supposed to blink even with key out of ignition. Please help!!!

So when you put the ignition key in, it won't turn to any position? The tumblers might be stuck inside the lock cy.linder. You could spray some wd-40 in there and work the key in and out a few times to lube the tumblers.

The passlock computer will disable the ignition if a wrong key is inserted by letting the engine crank but not start. It disables the ignition. When you openb the door and the security light is flashing, thats normal. But when you insert the key and try to start, if it remains on constantly, then there is a problem with the passlock.

Well, I just went up and tried spraying it down and it is not working. Anyone know if a blazer steering column is interchangeable with the olds? Also it has the radio controls on the steering wheel. If the blazer does not have this can you just switch the steering wheel and run the wires? Thanks for the help!
